Timing and delivery: Prints are professionally printed and are custom orders which means about 1 week for print-only and about 2 weeks for framed orders. I work with a small, independent framer in Old Town which keeps money in Alexandria and decreases the turnaround time. If you are local to Alexandria and would like to avoid the shipping charge on framed orders, use code “LOCALPICKUP” at checkout and I will notify you when your piece is ready to pick up (shipping discount not available on unframed orders; unframed orders will ship via USPS).
Don’t see a matchbook for the restaurant that you’d like on your 6- or 12-matchbook custom print? I’m happy to paint one new matchbook at no additional charge per 6-matchbook or 12-matchbook custom print order. Remember, this project celebrates local favorite restaurants, please no franchises. If you want more than one new restaurant on your custom print, please select the $35 custom matchbook painting surcharge and add the number of new matchbooks you want painted (minus the one free one) to the cart when you order your custom print. Please note that my to-paint list is often long and can add an additional 4-6 weeks.
If you want to order a single matchbook print of a restaurant that I have not painted yet: Please select the $35 custom matchbook painting surcharge. Place this order and tell me the restaurant you would like me to paint. Remember, this project celebrates local favorite restaurants, please no franchises. I will notify you when I have it completed and you can place your order for the single matchbook print at that time. Please note that my to-paint list is often long and can add an additional 4-6 weeks.
Original matchbook watercolors: Interested in the original watercolor of your favorite restaurant? Send me an email to find out if the one you are interested in is available. Keep in mind that these will be less pristine than the prints and are best custom framed because I paint them on oddly sized pieces of Arches watercolor paper and often test colors around the edges and such. Price for an original matchbook watercolor is $100 (+$60 for custom framing).
University posters are pre-printed and available for shipping or swing by the Made in ALX store or my framer (Art & Framing on N S Asaph) in Old Town.

College-town posters and Old Town Matchbooks print: Orders are packaged carefully and shipped via USPS within 2-5 days. I currently do not offer shipping outside the U.S.
Restaurant matchbooks prints (single and custom groups): Will ship in 7-10 days for print-only or 10-14 days for framed prints.
RETURNS:
Your satisfaction is incredibly important to me!
College-town posters and Old Town Matchbooks print: If the product arrives in a damaged condition, I will replace it for you free of charge or issue a refund. Please email laurelpm [at] dmvmatchbooks [dot] com with a photo of the damaged goods and I will replace them as soon as I can upon inventory availability.
For returns due to any other reason, please contact me within 14 days of receiving your order and return in the same condition that you received it. The original order shipping cost will be non-refundable and customer is responsible for paying all shipping costs related to the return. Once I receive and inspect the return, I will process the refund.
Restaurant matchbooks prints (single and custom groups): All purchases are final. These are custom prints and cannot be returned. If they arrived in a damaged condition, please contact me immediately and I will replace the print.
